small shiny dark green fly

small shiny dark green fly
Cardinal Marsh, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA

Size: ~4 mm
I've learned a lot about flies from the expert help here at BugGuide but this fly has me stumped. I'm not even sure what group of flies it may belong too. The rounded abdomen with a pointed tip looked like a good clue and maybe it would fit into the Superfamily Lauxanioidea. The photos are awful but I hope I can get some idea of what this fly is.

Subfamily Agromyzinae
Thanks so much for identifying this small shiny fly as a leaf-miner, John! I only had one example from the leaf-miner family to compare in my photo files and that was a grass sheathminer which looked quite different. This is a nice addition for me in Agromyzinae.

Color
On average subfamily Agromyzinae is darker and shinier than subfamily Phytomyzinae.
