Tephritidae - Neaspilota viridescens

Tephritidae - Neaspilota viridescens
Lake Valley Reservoir, Placer County, California, USA
August 11, 2011
Size: 1.8 mm
Caught sweeping vegetation. GPS= 39.3134, -120.6085, 2 km northwest of Lake Valley Reservoir or 0.8 km east of Hwy I-80, Exit 160 "Yuba Gap" on Lake Valley Road.

In both Nearctic Diptera (1) and Foote (2), I keyed this to Paraterellia which can't be right according to the species P. viripennis description in Foote. It is missing the continuous brown band extending along entire costal margin of the wing. In fact there is no wing pattern except the dark stigma. Dark areas on the wing pictures are just artifacts of lighting. Also, the hind tibia lacks any preapical dorsal seta.

I have captured several of these at varying locations from 1700 to 2200 meters (Castle Valley). All lacking the cloudy costal margin of P. viripennis and black abdominal spots (some have a vestige of abdominal black like this one).

Anybody help me where I'm going wrong?

Thanks
I see my error now, since the dorsocentrals are as near as I can measure exactly 1/2 way between it doesn't fit really either option of couplet 6 in Arnett (and the similar couplet in Foote), so I should have gone both ways. He looks like he fits here and does key to it. Dumb mistake, thanks again.
