Beat from Gray Pine and collected. Not sure I understand how to distinguish P. beta from P. maculosa...

Ptenothrix maculosa ssp. olympia
To differentiate maculosa from beta check the shape of the posterior dorsal patch.
In maculosa the patch is a longitudinal stripe.
In beta it is a rectangular raster.
This specimen is an interesting case : you can see the stripe, but in addition there are some extra irregular spots left and right of the midstripe.
