All-black toxomerus marginatus? - Toxomerus marginatus - Female
DeKalb County, Georgia, USA
February 9, 2021
Appears to be Toxomerus marginatus with all-black abdomen - this would fit with Dr. Hauser's comment that pupae developing under cold conditions can turn into adults that are nearly completely black. Also posted on iNat https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/69315608

Moved from Toxomerus.

There are indeed dark Toxomerus marginatus but they all have pale femora which are black here. There are no dust stripes along eyes on frons. This is very unusal.
Toxomerus geminatus has the middle and front femora pale also.
I have sent it to Dr. Martin Hauser.
