Oncopeltus cf sexmaculatus LRGV - Oncopeltus
Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, Hidalgo County, Texas, USA
October 18, 2006
Size: 14 mm
Size estimated. Not my best photography, but the only photos I got of this species. There has been quite the discussion on iNaturalist about this:
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/69517461
I had assumed it was Oncopeltus sexmaculatus, but the possibility has been raised (by an expert in this group of insects) that it is guttaloides or perhaps spectabilis. Any opinions here?
