Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa
Bedford, Westchester County, New York, USA
February 13, 2021
Molted while I was traveling - note the difference in the wing bud size and shape. Looks like one more molt until adulthood...

How you keeping these?
Just curious. I'm wondering if this genus is an omnivorous or strictly herbivorous one.

Gryllotalpa
It mostly ate large quantities of lettuce and carrots, never got it to eat fish flakes. Unfortunately it recently died - I hadn't replaced the substrate in a while and I'm afraid it may have gotten too filled with waste. I think they would be easy to rear otherwise. I only had the one nymph, but apparently they are reasonably common in the area, mainly in people's yards and gardens.

Ah dang, sorry to hear it...
Sounds like they are mostly herbivorous, good to know. Shame about it dying prematurely, hopefully you'll have better success the next time around!
