ant fly with long flagellum - Microdon

ant fly with long flagellum - Microdon
Chimney Rock Park , Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
June 12, 2020
Size: ~11 mm
This ant fly seemed to have flagellum equal to or maybe even longer than the scape and I thought it might be a candidate for M. tristis. I'm not a good judge of what qualifies as outward pointing calcars and mostly orange mesotibia either if those characters can be determined from these photos.
