gold moth with white stripes - Parectopa geraniella
Chimney Rock Park, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
May 27, 2020
Even though this photo is blurry, it appears to be a perfect match for the leaf-blotch miner moth, Parectopa geraniella. I note that the only other photos of Parectopa geraniella on BugGuide all came from the same county in Iowa where I found this moth.

Moved from Butterflies and Moths. Seems distinctive — cool moth

Parectopa geraniella
Thanks so much for confirming the identity of this leaf-blotch miner moth as being Parectopa geraniella, Aaron! I wish I would have gotten a better photo but I'll try to find another one this spring!
