Collected from flowers in alpine meadow next to small stream, in vegetation community including Populus, Pseudotsuga, Pinus, and Salix.

Plumose arista
Plumose arista and looks like a groove near eye margin. Could this be Hiatomyia?
Not familiar with this one.

Thank you for the help in identifying this beauty. I tried a couple of different syrphid keys and did not have much luck. If any better images are needed let me know.
