Follow up: Checking recent similars from AL - this one is posted to Bug Guide. https://bugguide.net/node/view/1944596

Another last night from same area and checking last year's photos he sees some from Feb/Mar 2020.
Whatever species this is - seems to be established in AL.

This is helpful. I'd scanned many many Pug photos but not pinned ones. If more are found perhaps this one and others can be pulled from genus. It's probably around, just not photo captured yet. Thanks Bob.
