Moved
Moved from Cerylon.

Cerylonidae: Cerylon sp.
I will change my mind, this is a Cerylon sp, but can't tell which of the two in this area it is.

I'll move it then.
I do see the differences Phillip mentioned.

Cerylonidae: Philothermus glabriculus
Only one Philothermus here, so that was easy. Cerylon has the anterolateral pronotal angles much more prominent.

Glad to know him by name: Philothermus glabriculus
Thank you so much, Don.

Cerylonidae?
Could be in Cerylonidae.

Thank you Frank
Poor little guy has been languishing for months with no ID. I'll check out your lead.

Done. Looks pretty good. I'll move it but keep the question mark. There are four species in NH according to the UNH checklist.

Moved
Sure looks right - moved and added common name per American Beetles. Another new family - great!

Thanks Phillip
Minute Bark Beetles sounds like a more practical common name than Cerylonid Beetles.
