August 1, 2020: collected flowers of Sawtooth sunflower, Heliopsis grosseserratus, with 2 exposed spent cecidomyiid pupae (upper 2 circles).
Did not look close at the intact 'something' in the flowers (bottom circle). Confined flower head.
August 3-6, 2020: 3 adults
August 22, 2020: found another fly dead in the rearing vial and 2 live wasps.


August 29, 2020: cut the flower head apart to live yellow fly larvae, a cecidomyiid spent pupa and a non-cecidomyiid pupa that may be the same species as the chloropid above
