Entomobrya of some kind? - Drepanura californica

Entomobrya of some kind? - Drepanura californica
Aromas, San Benito County, California, USA
February 7, 2008
Size: ~2-3mm
Another Collembolan of some kind on the lip of a large flower pot in our garden, maybe some kind of Entomobrya? (live oak/chaparral habitat).

Moved from Salina mulcahyae.

Drepanura californica
Given the recent upload of Scott Peden I realised I have systematically misidentified Drepanura californica specimens as Salina mulcahyae...

Salina mulcahyae
A juvenile specimen.
It sure looks like Entomobrya. But the dorsal pattern reminds me of that of S. mulcahyae.
Note: IDing juveniles is always an educated guess, since keys are made only to ID adults...

Thank you Frans
for the ID, I'll move it to the proper page.
