A type of Asian Lady Beetle? -
Brachiacantha ursina
Brighton, Livingston County, Michigan, USA
Size: small
Looks just like a lady bug, but with reversed colors. Is it the same, or a different kind?

Lady beetle.
Yes, it is a lady beetle. Most lady beetles, by the way, are quite tiny, and quite drab. This specimen may be in the genus Brachycantha or Hyperaspis. Lots of species, lots of individual variation in color and pattern. Nice image of this one.
