Sierra Madre Dancer (Argia lacrimans) - Argia lacrimans - male

Sierra Madre Dancer (Argia lacrimans) - Argia lacrimans - Male
Madera Canyon - Carrie Nation Mine, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
June 26, 2008
Found at a mine entrance in ponderosa, Gambel oak woodland with sycamores. About 6200' elevation. After reviewing the new Paulson Guide, I'm pretty certain this is lacrimans (forked humeral stripe on thorax, black polygon on S2, and blue eyes).

Agree based on my reading of Paulson as well. I'll add that the blue on S7 also eliminates a couple similar species.
