Pterostichus - subgenus Hypherpes
Deeper placement is left for others. Have you tried Kip Will for your Pterostichus?

I don't believe I've corresponded with Kip Will. Curt Harden determined my one previous Pterostichus record, which was from Maryland. Interested in this specimen?

This looks like a species
probably already in my reference set. I can't be sure until I examine it. You are familiar with our past arrangements for mailing specimens to me. I suggest mailing when you have a bunch of carabid specimens to make the trip most worthwhile. It's always a good idea to include BugGuide numbers on the data slips. Thank you!
