The dorsal stripe looks like three stripes on my original image. Kind of hard to see on this cropped verion.

Female Slender Bluet
Thin shoulder stripes, stripes on top of thorax and pattern on top of segment 8 are good for female Slender Bluet. I think a pale bluet would have a lot less black on its head and thorax.

Thanks much! Slender Bluets abdomen does seem a bit shorter than that of the Pale Bluet too, at least relative to wing length. I don't know if that holds water but... Giff Beaton also makes mention that the Slender Bluet is "Marked more heavily than Pale...", on his website. I need to get a Ode guide; there are too many confusing similar species.
