Derobrachus geminatus, two males, but these were the only big beetles this evening

I am in Twentynine Palms CA. One hit my buddy in the leg out of no where... they are everywhere..

 
Out west were you are
there are two other possibilities within the same genus: D. geminatus and D. forreri

probably D. hovorei
