Looks like...
It's probably something like a Cedar Tree Borer. This might be a new data point for Connecticut. Hold on for an expert.
Semanotus ligneus: The antennae are very short for a Long-horned Beetle, but maybe it's a female-only quality: That one seems to have longer antennae segments.

 
This makes perfect sense now...
...as the beetle was on the side of my truck bed. The bed was filled with wood chips I'd just brought back from the local transfer station. The chips (and foliage) were of Northern White Cedar (Thuja occidentalis) which had to have been cut down locally. I'd thought the beetle looked like a female Cerambycid but couldn't find a reference image. Wish I'd paid more attention or collected it: I think it may have carried phoretic mites.
