Pine Flower Snout Beetle - Cimberis elongata

Pine Flower Snout Beetle - Cimberis elongata
Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
April 30, 2008
One day I found this on top of a plastic bag I was using to try and catch gall midges. It was on a scrub oak under some pitch pine in my back yard. I had written down Tychius with a question mark, but that doesn't seem as correct any more. Fell off the bag before I could get a measurement. If I remember correctly I would guess around 7 mm +/-.
