bee fly with patterned wings

bee fly with patterned wings
Decorah Prairie, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
July 30, 2020
Size: ~7 mm
The markings on this bee fly's wings looked similar to those I saw on examples of Anthrax albofasciatus and I wonder if that is what this bee fly might be.

Moved from Bee Flies.

Anthracinae
Thanks for narrowing this dark bee fly's identity down to the subfamily Anthracinae, John. I thought it might fit somewhere into Anthracinae.
