Stink bug laying eggs--Chlorochroa? - Chlorochroa kanei - Female
near Grant Lake on Hwy 158, Mono County, California, USA
June 21, 2008
Size: 18-20mm
I didn't realize this bug was laying eggs until I looked at the photo (now I know where the egg in my bug box came from). The plant it was on was along the roadside.

Conchuela Bug?
After looking throught the Stink Bugs, I'm thinking this is a Conchuela Bug (Chlorochroa ligata), but I'd get a second opinion on it before moving it.

from Joe Eger:
"Probably not ligata"

Probably.
Probably is, but there are several nearly identical species out west.
