Tiny, unknown pest - Periphyllus

Size: 1.0 - 1.5mm
The plant's probably a Japanese Maple, the pests don't move much and are literally everywhere on the leaves. It also seems that there are two thin, dotted black lines running down the back of each bug. The bugs also seem to have tiny black heads.

Probably mummies, they've been parasitized by wasps so their appearance isn't what it would usually be.

Aphids of some sort, I reckon.
They're often hard to ID from photos, but definitive host plant info might help--as would closer/clearer images.

I think these might actually be aphids. I haven't tried taking clearer pictures yet (these were the clearest I could do with the camera I had), but I did spot some ladybugs having a feast of what appeared to be aphids :)

Most folks don't have time to go offsite
to look at images. If you have images that are clearer, it would help if you uploaded them here, but you might get an ID either way
