Barklouse - Ectopsocus

Barklouse - Ectopsocus
Thompsontown, Juniata County, Pennsylvania, USA
April 8, 2021
I realize these shots aren't much to go on, but this critter was pretty much at the limit of my little camera's ability. Just curious if any kind of ID is possible before frassing.

This is either
a female Ectopsocopsis cryptomeriae or a female Ectopsocus vachoni. I wouls have to have a close look to tell which this is. I will get out my specimens and see if I could learn to tell them from dorsal shots. Not likely, though.

That's more than I expected :)
Seems to be a little far north for E. vachoni--at least according to BugGuide data.
