Aquatic Cave Bug 2

Aquatic Cave Bug 2
Logsdon Cave, Mammoth Cave Region County, Kentucky, USA
January 30, 2021
Size: Approx 0.6cm
I apologize for the poor picture. Bug is located in a cave. I believe it is troglobitic. There are multiple and they sit in small rimstone pools fed by a continuous stream of groundwater that is about 54 degrees with little variation in intensity and temperature year round.

Very interesting. There are just a few species of corydalids in your area. I don't personally know of any cave-dwelling populations, but it wouldn't surprise me too much. Did you keep the specimen?

No
Unfortunately no, and I couldn't find and of them when I went back yesterday.
