Eupeodes or Syrphus or Scaeva or ?? - Eupeodes volucris - Female

Size: ~8mm
Seen on Argyranthemum frutescens in our garden. (live oak/chaparral habitat). I know it's problematic to ID Eupeodes, Syrphus or Scaeva from a photo, but just in case someone can ID this guy.

Not Scaeva, the forehead is not swollen enough.
A female Eupeodes sp.
