Spodolepis danbyi
According to the Annotated Checklist of Butterflies and Moths (Lepidoptera) of Canada & Alaska, (Pohl et al 2018), Spodolepis danbyi was historically treated as a subspecies of S. substriataria, but was raised to species status in 2010.

Known records in AK, BC and YT are all now considered to be S. danbyi, with the exception of the boreal forest habitat of the Peace River region in northeastern BC where S. substriataria may occur.
Given this photo is from Saltspring Island, it would be S. danbyi.

Bob - I guess the other posts for S. substriataria from southern BC should also be moved to S. danbyi. I've just moved mine.

There are only two others from BC:
# 343573 from Lytton in the southern interior.
# 759660 from Lantzville, on Vancouver Island.

OK
I can move those images based on your recommendation. However, the BOLD distributions seem to show a lot of overlap in some parts of the western range.
I'm not sure where to exactly draw the lines in BC or outside of it. For example, what about AK, OR, WA & YT. Many images that were placed long ago are now questionable.
I would hate to have to move everybody back to the genus level, without a bunch of very clear instructions on the info pages. For now, I won't touch the others.

OK
I'll e-mail you the information that I have directly. It's a bit long to put it all in here.
