Stem borer overwintering as a puparium in stem of an aster (Symphyotrichum sp.) with heart-shaped leaves

Assuming my tentative ID of Melanagromyza sp. is correct, to my knowledge this is the first record of an agromyzid stem borer in Symphyotrichum
