scarabid - Cyclocephala melanocephala
Tumacacori X Santa Cruz River, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
June 30, 2008
Size: ~8mm
I'm going to hazard a guess that this is a type of Shining Leaf Chafer, Rutelinae? Several of these were found inside different Datura flowers. Wish the image showed more detail of head, antennae etc., but may be good enough for an ID.
