Bug on daisy-like flower - Lygus

Bug on daisy-like flower - Lygus
Wynantskill, Rensselaer County, New York, USA
June 30, 2008
Size: about 1/4"
I have a lot of these bugs this year in my flower garden. They sit in the center of the flower, and will move to the underside if you come near. They seem to be in just about all of my flowers, not favoring one or another. They have the shape of true bugs, but I can't find a picture that identifies them.

Moved
Moved from True Bugs.

Looks like
one of the miridae, plant bugs. I'm sure someone will be able to tell you which one.

Thank you! Found it!
It is a tarnished plant bug (Lygus lineolaris), and I will have to be diligent about cutting down and removing my dead flower debris after the first frost this year to remove their habitat before they can hatch next spring. Do you have any suggestions for getting rid of this current bug crop without using insecticide?

Thanks!

Sorry
but I don't know how you can get rid of them.
