Valencia Bug - Ammopelmatus
Valencia, California, Northern Los Angeles County, California, USA

Size: approx. 4 inches long
I saw this bug while walking to Magic Mountain Park. There were some small reddish bees (less than 1" long) in the area as well, but this insect was much larger (approx. 4" long)
