Corixidae

Corixidae
Fairbanks, Float Ponds, Fairbanks North Star County, Alaska, USA
May 4, 2021
Size: about 10 mm
Large freshwater pond at FAI International Airport used for float and ski planes. Ice still covers most of the pond but there were hundreds of these all along the edge where there was a thin strip of open water (perhaps there were more under the ice).

I am guessing this is Arctocorisa sp (or Arctocorixa sp) based on the comment here: https://bugguide.net/node/view/385391. One of the photos clearly shows the carina extending through well over half of the pronotum.

I am hoping there is enough detail for experts to be able to identify this.
