Bulia similaris - Hodges#8615 - Bulia similaris - Female
1.3 miles NW of Camp Wood, Edwards County, Texas, USA
May 3, 2021
This specimen and dissection have not been BOLD authenticated, but it is a more representative dissection than the one I posted on BOLD. I have dissected 21 Bulias and both the males and females were equally split in number. I still don't know WHICH male is which but I can tell the difference in the dissections.

The fact that B. deducta and B. similaris are about equal in number in my Camp Wood location was a surprise to me. Therefore I think, at least West of Austin, this may be an accurate assumption.
This specimen was collected before 2019, but I don't know the exact date.

I will continue to dissect Bulias until I get the males & the females figured out and eventually I may know for SURE what the percentage of each species is appearing at my sheet.
