Strange creature - Necydalis mellita - Female
Harms Woods Forest Preserve, Glenview, Cook County, Illinois, USA

Size: ~25mm
We were tricked just as everyone else seems to be by this critter. At first we thought it was an Ichneumon acting strangely. We never even considered Cerambycid until we got home and took a closer look on screen. Is this mellita?
