High tech solution
Hello Diane,

Total amateur photographer here. After years of shooting all of my macro photos in the field (back yard), I went and bought a white cereal bowl at the store so I could keep insects/spiders from running off. Since I shoot 99% macro, I got a Yongnuo dual macro flash and usually have each flash head set at 1/128 power.
