Large unusual moth. - Prionoxystus robiniae

Large unusual moth. - Prionoxystus robiniae
Hurricane, Putnam County, West Virginia, USA
July 2, 2008
Size: 2" length
I was struck by the fact that the body of this moth was so much longer than its wings. It never opened its wings so I could not determine wing span.

Looks like a
Carpenterworm Moth. Compare with this photo. The wings are actually longer, but in this species it is rare to find a specimen with intact wings.
