Falcon SP, Texas, USA
May 16, 2007
Size: ~3/4"
I was photographing a scorpion at a night light that had this in its pincers. It was trying to eat it but finally gave up. The caterpillar walked away then.

Chlosyne theona
Is the only species I can find that fits.

Moved from Crescents, Checkerspots, Anglewings, etc..
