Size
Wingspan about 20-29 mm.
Identification
Adult - medium-sized moth with tightly rolled wings, and a dark chocolate or gray, smoky coloration. The sheen of the wings is almost greasy. No marks on wings. Hindwings translucent.

Life Cycle
Larvae feed on a variety of trees, shrubs: bumelia, hibiscus, oaks, citrus, redbay (Persea). Cocoon is a net-like chamber attached to hostplant by a filament. (1)
