Pink Moth? - Pyrausta inornatalis

Pink Moth? - Pyrausta inornatalis
Pomona, Los Angeles County, California, USA
May 20, 2021
Size: About one half inch.
While working in my pario container garden in Pomona, California, in the early afernoon, on a mostly cloudy day, I noticed this dime-size, pink moth(?), sitting on my A/C condenser unit. It seemed unusual to see a moth in the daytime, although it was overcast, not bright sunshine. I took several photos with my cell phone, before it took flight and disappeared. The pink wings and green eyes were very striking. I've never seen this insect before and would like to know what it is and more about it. -- Roger
