I was going through my files and found this unidentified drone fly feeding on smooth aster in my garden. I was hoping someone could identify it to species. Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Eristalis stipator .... male.
Note thin line of white hairs just before posterior margin of tergite 3 and long white whirled hair before posterior margin of tergite 4.
