That was my guess but...
...I did not see any defined lines, as in all other photos I've seen. Also, I don't see the dark veining in any sample photos. Please, Mr. Biagi, what do you see in my photo that confirms the ID? Go into as much detail as you can spare, as I want to learn to ID my own moths with confidence.

Yes it's an interesting version and the first one that we have seen with the darkened veins. However, the shape of the wings and the shape of the (obscure) PM lines are unique among all of the North American Geometrids.
I have identified this species many times and there is no doubt about the ID. There is only one species in the genus.
