Moved, either Shelfordella or Periplaneta...
Hard to tell from a teneral adult, did you keep it to see what it would turn into?

Moved from Cockroaches and Termites.

No, I didn't keep it
Shelfordella lateralis is exceedingly abundant outdoors in the region and from limited experience I would guess that it is the most common indoor roach species too. Occasionally, Periplaneta americana can be observed. I assumed it would not be hard to tell a teneral specimen apart considering that these two species belong to different genera. Thanks!

OK, worth a shot lol!
I don't know if anyone could definitively discern an S.lateralis male from a P.americana male when still teneral like this, at least not when the wings haven't fully expanded. It's probably lateralis IMO, but I think it's best left at family for now.

What I reported earlier has shifted a little
P. americana is becoming more abundant than it used to, in my two large compost bins, but it is still less common than S. lateralis

Ah OK
Even more reason to leave it at family then lol.
