You never know where beautiful things are going to turn up--I found this while wandering along the edge of the lawn at a rest stop along the highway. And I think you've got the species right, Jo Ann, based on Andy's comments here, but I'll give him a chance to comment before I move it.

I mean really, bugs are so amazing. Look at the great pattern and colors and then add those gorgeous iridescent bristles. It almost makes it look like rocket blasting off.
