Size: Approx. 1/2 inch
This is a larva of something, but what? They are found among the aphids on my Mexican Milkweeds. However, I cannot tell what they are feeding on and cannot find this in any guides.
It's light green with a white strip down the back. It also has a light lateral stripe on each side. The head is at the narrow end on the right.

Looks to be a Syrphid fly larva
in the guide here, and that's probably the poor aphid he's after out in front of him!
