Size: 8.5 mm
Blackish fly with red legs, flying from leaf to leaf on Bromus inermis. At least 2 observed in the vicinity. In level grassland dominated by Bromus inermis, the leaves now about 25 cm high, with fine, silty material, burned the previous September, about 150 m S of the stream. Midday, sunny, light breeze, 71 F.

Elevation ca 4000 feet. Disturbed, shrubby riparian corridor on stream restoration site within a patchwork of native and non-native grassland.
