Wood Nymph
The dark color and white-centered eyespots look like one of the Wood Nymphs, maybe Common or Great Basin?

I Think This Can Be Moved to
Common Wood-Nymph. Great Basin Wood-Nymph is far out of range.
Neighboring county with Bill's other Common Wood-Nymph submission but among both specimens variability of species is seen.
