How about...
... an adult female Microphotus angustus. The females are larvaform. They crawl up onto prominent locations and turn on the light for a couple of hours for just a few weeks. The males, with their big eyes, home in onto the light.

I know them from the Sierras and Cascades. I didn't know they were in Arizona, so someone probably should confirm before the images are moved.
