Robber Fly 1 - Tolmerus vescus
Lake Tahoe National Forest, Sierra County, California, USA
July 3, 2008
Size: 1.5 cm or so
This is the first of a rather large series of Robber Flies from the sierras I took over the fourth. I'll stick to the 5 species a day rule and spread them out. Any help would be much appreciated! This was a pretty small robber, not much more than a centimeter
