This was a cool looking robber with a red-tipped abdomen

Moved from Robber Flies.

Laphria gilva female;
belongs to Choerades subgroup of Laphria (treated as a separate genus in Europe and elsewhere). This species is Holarctic. Nice shot!

Appears Laphrinine though not Laphria. Likely one of the Adrenosoma or Ceratainiops.
