Phausis reticulata - Male
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Swain County, North Carolina, USA

Captured this specimen during an epic firefly display I witnessed. Groups of Phausis glowed in synchronous groups in forest understory, while the adjacent open areas were ridden with flashing Photinus. This specimen checks all of the boxes outlined in the species description on this site.
